While Memphis was an unlikely place for an alternative metal/post-grunge band, Saliva was able to follow in the tradition of crafting hard rock songs in a radio-friendly format popularized by the likes of Creed, Nickelback and Disturbed. Formed in 1996, Saliva has five recordings, the latest being 'Blood Stained, Love Story.' Drowning Pool gained widespread popularity following the release of 'Bodies,' its first single. This Altanta, Georgia, band features Elliott Stary, Adriel Garcia, Steve Miloszewski, Mars Davlan and John Whitney.

An Oregon icon in jazz, drummer Mel Brown has been labeled the "Gentleman of Jazz," with a career spanning over 40 years. The jazz artists Mel has played with reads like a "who's who" of jazz, including Gene Harris, George Benson, Teddy Edwards, Joey DeFrancesco, Bill Watrous, Leroy Vinnegar, and many more. Mel was also a staff drummer for the Motown Music Corporation, recording and touring with such groups as the Temptations, the Supremes, and Smokey Robinson. In addition, he has worked with Diana Ross, Suzanne Somers, Connie Francis, Pat Boone and others.
