On September 5th from 5-7pm at Memorial Christian Church 730 Tappan St., the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice will be hosting a CROP Open House. Recruiters can recieve their materials and listen to inspirational special presentations put on by area agencies who will/have recieved Crop funds! The presentations will begin at 6pm. Their stories of how the Ann Arbor/Washtenaw CROP money touchs the lives in our county are surely to rekindle the fire to go out and fight to end hunger worldwide! We look forward to seeing you there, to thank you personally for all of your work which has touched the lives of so many.

Jackie Flynn has emerged as one of the funniest and most talked about comedians to come out of Boston. Joining the ranks of Steven Wright, Denis Leary , Lenny Clarke and Jay Leno. He has quickly parlayed his success as a stand-up to firmly establish himself in the film and televison arena. Early on in his career, Jackie was discovered on stage in Boston by the Farrelly brothers, who have since cast him in back to back roles in “King Pin”, “There’s Something About Mary”, “Me, Myself And Irene” “Shallow Hal” and “Stuck On You”, where he played opposite pop-diva Cher. In fact, last year, right after his last engagement here, he was scheduled to begin filming for the next Farrelly Brothers movie as yet unamed. Fans of the hit show “The King Of Queens”, will recognize Jackie from his many appearances on that show, as well as his role along side the likes of Burt Reynolds, NFL Coach Jimmy Johnson and Jerome Bettis as one of the “Men Of The Square Table” in the hugely popular Miller Lite “Man Law” commercials. Dave Landau's smart, edgy and fresh humor delivered with a unique laid back and clean style has made him one of the fastest rising comics in America. With a strong Improv background and sharp material, he is an act you're sure to enjoy. Dave performs at top clubs and theatres around the country and has worked with comics including Steven Wright, Dave Chappelle, Ron White and Dennis Miller. Dave was the warm up comedian for the Comedy Central/Warner Brothers release "Henry Cho's: What's that Clickin' Noise?" and he recently appeared at HBO's Las Vegas Comedy Festival. In June of 2007 he appeared on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and that same year he was featured on Last Comic Standing. He is also currently in rotation on Sirius/XM Radio. Dave is also a trained improviser from the nationally renowned Second City Comedy Theatre where he studied for two years and graduated from the Second City writing program. He also wrote several studen! t shows while he was there. Dave Landau has a keen eye for humor and the ability to make hilarious observations about almost anything.
