Lamb of God plays pure American metal. New Haven, Connecticut's Hatebreed have been featured on MTV2's 'Headbangers Ball' show in addition to stints on such tours as Ozzfest and the Heavyweights of Hardcore. The Canadian sextet Three Inches of Blood evokes a throwback to heavy metal's youthful 1980s heyday. The band's Iron Maiden-like galloping riffs and solos are speeded up to thrash metal tempos, topped with "Dungeons & Dragons" styled lyrics and titles such as 'Destroy the Orcs' and 'Ride Darkhorse, Ride.' Their latest is 'Advance and Vanquish.' Behemoth is an influential polish blackened death metal band.

Formed in 1985 by Wisconsin high school buddies Sam Llanas and Kurt Neumann, the BoDeans have been turning out twangy, clean-cut, homespun guitar rock 'n' roll for over a decade. The energy G.B. Leighton brings to the stage is suggestive of the signature style of his idol, Bruce Springsteen. "He's the guy who got me going..." "I guess it was about the attitude of having a good time in life...and so that's kind of what I've always tried to have my music be - just different aspects of life." Leighton has played four to five nights a week for the past 10 years and has gone from playing small clubs as a band, to solo support for national/international tours with The BoDeans, Joe Cocker, Boz Scaggs, Chuck Berry and Jonny Lang.
