Atlanta Seed-Stage Second Office Work Session

Where: JavaVino

Date: 2007-06-20 11:00:00

Type:

On behalf of the Atlanta Seed-Stage Second Office (as3o.org), I'd like to invite you all to join us at one of our upcoming coffee groups. The plan is really simple: we'll get together fairly frequently at a coffeeshop, bar, etc. to have a drink, jump on their WiFi, and get some work done. The idea is to create a regular way to get away from the normal working environment, which for many of us is home or a cramped office. We thought this would be a good idea because there seems to be very little true startup community in Atlanta. After discovering that the local definition of "startup" seems to be a 15-person company with investors, stable profits, office space, a plan for significant growth, and possible value of $200 million - $15 billion, we figured we'd try to get together a community that was more our speed and size. The gathering will be very casual -- feel free to come by either to talk to other startups as you're working or just to work on your own without even speaking to anyone else. It's a working group over a drink. Please pass this on to anyone you know who is working for him/herself or as part of a tiny group trying to get off the ground. And though we don't require any RSVPs, but we'd like to get together a mailing list, and it would be great to know if you like the idea -- drop us an e-mail at info@as3o.org just to comment or to sign up to be notified of future coffee times. As always, find out more at www.as3o.org (Atlanta Seed-Stage Second Office). Our very first meeting: 11:00 AM on Wed, June 20 at Java Vino (directions below)
