Visit historic 1930s Wray Home decorated for the holidays from November 23 through December 30 (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day only). Enjoy guided tours from 10 am to 4 pm and all the botanical gardens and wildlife sanctuary has to offer. Voted best place to take out-of-town guests for many years, it's a great place to take visitors to show them the charms of old Florida. A treat for children while they're on winter break, all ages delight in the beautiful botanical gardens, native animal and bird exhibits including a free-flight aviary, and live Wildlife Encounter Show at 12:30, 1:30 or 2:30. Stop to shop at the Gift Shop, Garden Shop, Tropical Marketplace, and there is Gift Fruit Shipping. Food and beverages are available, so plan on spending the whole day. Flamingo Gardens & Wildlife Sanctuary, 3750 S Flamingo Road, Davie (between I-595 and Griffin Road), open 9:30-5:30 except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Admission is $17 ages 12 and up, $8.50 children 4-11, children under 4 are free; the tour by tram is additional and runs on the hour from 11-4. A young delinquent awaits sentencing for the manslaughter of his aggressive father.
