Bring the children and your camera for a keepsake photo with Santa in historic 1930s Wray Home decorated for the holidays. Photos will be available if you prefer. Plan a treat for the children while they're on winter break. All ages delight in the beautiful botanical gardens, native animal and bird exhibits including a free-flight aviary, and live Wildlife Encounter Show at 12:30, 1:30 or 2:30. Stop to shop at the Gift Shop, Garden Shop, Tropical Marketplace, and ship some fresh fruit to friends up north. Food and beverages are available, so plan on spending the whole day. Flamingo Gardens & Wildlife Sanctuary, 3750 S Flamingo Road, Davie (between I-595 and Griffin Road), open 9:30-5:30 except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Admission is $17 ages 12 and up, $8.50 children 4-11, children under 4 are free; the tour by tram is additional and runs on the hour from 11-4.
