On Sunday, April 6th, Comix hosts A Night for Dottie, a one night only stand up and sketch comedy benefit show supported by Comedy Fights Cancer. A Night for Dottie is being held in honor of Dottie Person, a loving and devoted wife and mother of five who at just 32 years old lost her battle with cancer. Comedy Fights Cancer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that delivers live and taped stand up comedy to patients in hospitals and care facilities. Dottie walked the simple way of gratitude and encouraged us to "focus on present joy, not unknowns or what-ifs." Dottie's remarkable story of motherhood and love through overwhelming adversity has become a voice of hope that is touching more lives than she could have ever dreamed.
