Silk Painting designer or artist? This class brings the artist one step closer to fashion design. Students will learn to prepare the silk, mix the dye chemicals, define borders, and paint their silk. Special effects will be covered. They will transform a wisp of silk into a kaleidoscope of color and creativity. The standard scarf size for this class is 35"X35", but a small number of 11" X 60" scarves will be available. Requests for the non-standard size should be made will in advance of class. Additional silk "blanks" will be available for purchase on the day of class. Materials fee $15.00 covers use of dyes and chemicals, as well as one silk scarf blank.
