The Format, featuring Sam Means and Nate Ruess, is a pop music duo from Arizona. Known for its experimental style of rock, Steel Train is on a fast track to success. Piebald is an emocore band from Andover, MA, that came together as high schoolers in the mid-'90s and became a staple of the Boston indie scene throughout that decade. The group presents a lighthearted spin on typical emo values, offering such song titles as 'Fat and Skinny Asses.' Reubens Accomplice captures the paradox of the desert in their songs -- the sense of echoing loneliness and at the same time the overwhelming beauty of it. Reubens Accomplice are Phoenix's best kept secret -- a band with enough potential to blow right through the paper-thin layer right above them. Limbeck is a hard-working touring band that puts on vibrantly energetic live shows.

The Used has received a lot of attention lately and not just because lead singer Bert McCracken is Kelly Osbourne's grungy ex-boyfriend. This foursome has drawn positive attention for their resemblance to such bands as Glassjaw, The Deftones, Jimmy Eat World and Finch. This rock quartet from Washington, DC came together in early 1999. After a few name changes and the addition of a lead guitarist, they settled on the name of Army of Me and began to play up and down the East Coast. Hailing from the once quiet desert town of Tucson, Arizona, The Bled exploded onto the hardcore/metal circuit in 2001. With their intense live performances along side bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Norma Jean, Midtown and Recover, they were able to make a name for themselves within their local music scene. Bringing about a mature sound that clearly exceeds their age as a band, The Bled, following the road less traveled by, is now clearing a path for those yet to come.

The Chart-topping U.K. pop/rock combo Squeeze will perform live for the first time since 1999. Among the band's hits are 'If I Didn't Love You,' 'Pulling Mussels (from the shell),' 'Cool for Cats,' 'Tempted' and 'Black Coffee in Bed.' Songwriters Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford formed the band back in 1974 with past members including Jools Holland, Paul Carrack, Pete Thomas and Andy Metcalfe. Joining Tilbrook and Difford on this jaunt are John Bentley, Simon Hansen and Stephen Large. In a more traditional singer/songwriter vein, Will Hoge is a standout. More like Pete Yorn than John Mayer, Hoge's songs don't get mired in the maudlin. His major label debut is 'Blackbird On A Lonely Wire.'

Boston's Big D and The Kids Table debuted their fast paced style of ska-punk in 1995.
