Gretchen Witt's vocal style is frequently compared with those of Allison Krauss, Natalie Merchant and Tracy Chapman. Voted Best Singer/Songwriter in the Ottawa Xpress, Ana's reputation as a rising star has extended deeply into her musical opportunities: She was chosen as a finalist for CBC's Galaxie Rising Stars event, and has opened for Sarah Harmer, Jeremy Fisher, Teitur, Nathan Wiley, Fred Eaglesmith and Joel Kroeker. From living rooms to main stages, her smooth, melodic voice, fluid approach to guitar and on-stage banter warms the hearts of each audience she encounters.
