This festival features performances by the symphony orchestra every Saturday evening, Distinguished Artist performances every Tuesday evening (including the Texas Music Festival Jazz Project), and Chamber Orchestra performances on select Thursday evenings. In addition, recitals presented by the Guitar, Jazz, Piano, and Flute institutes. As America's original nighttime Pride Parade and the largest annual GLBT event in the Southwest, it holds a unique place in the hearts of Houstonians and the many visitors who come to the Parade from throughout Texas and Louisiana and from other parts of the country. The Parade is a thrill for spectators all the way down Westheimer from Woodhead to Whitney. Throughout the route, the Parade is an empowering blend of light, color and sound with beautiful floats, costumes and performances. Attendees will find a number of resources here, including viewing tips and information about this year's awards and Grand Marshals. Participating in the Parade is also quite a rush. It's a mile of beautiful, diverse, packed crowds all screaming and applauding for you.
