The Wexner Center marks the recent passing of one of the cinema’s true giants with a film from the latter half of his career. A stunning union of two of Sweden’s national treasures, Autumn Sonata pairs Ingmar Bergman with Ingrid Bergman for their only joint effort. Ingrid plays a mother who, after forsaking her family for a music career, attempts a reconciliation with her oldest daughter (Liv Ullmann) through a night of painful revelation. Sven Nykvist contributes glorious Eastmancolor cinematography to this quietly beautiful story of forgiveness. (35mm, 92 mins.) Please note: Turn your evening into a double feature! Purchase tickets to The Earrings of Madame de… at 7 PM and get into this screening for free.

"Last night I saw the best show I have ever seen in my life." —Local Cut, Portland Grizzly Bear, the melodic Brooklyn quartet who’ve found a home at Warp Records, amaze on stage with live renditions of the meticulously crafted tunes that light up their highly praised CDs. Expertly riding the fence between perfectionist impulses and lo-fi offhand moves (just as sublime in their own way), Grizzly Bear draws you into lyrical moodscapes with woozy harmonies and adventurously ambitious instrumental flourishes.. Hear what Tiny Mix Tapes described as "cinematic indie pop pastures that cannot be contained by anyone’s mom’s living room." Baltimore duo Beach House provide the perfect complement with their dreamy trance pop sound in the opening set…so don’t be late.

RWB has established an incredibly devoted following of fans across the Midwest. Two years ago, the band adopted Columbus, OH, as their home after forming three years prior in the small Ohio town of Athens (home of Ohio University). The group is a melody-driven, four-piece rock band with an ingenious songwriting style and a very demanding presence.
